History
Het was bedoeld om bedevaarders van buiten de stad te herbergen. Het bevond zich in het 'Messenstraatje' tegen de Nete. Het omvatte twee werkmanswoningen en een kamer voor arme reizigers. In 1838 werd het door de hospiciën aan de stad afgestaan, afgebroken en vervangen door een loskaai. Stockmans noemt ook het Sint-Jacobsgasthuis als synoniem voor het Rabauwgasthuis.
